Aldena M. (Simmons) Ferry

November 24, 1944 ~ June 30, 2017 (age 72) 72 Years Old


NASHUA- Aldena M. (Simmons) “GG” “Gram” Ferry, 72, died peacefully on June 30, 2017 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua. She was surrounded by her loving family. Aldena was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Ferry Sr.

Aldena was born in Ogdensburg, NY on November 24, 1944 and was the daughter of Lorraine (Ellis) Simmons of Bradford, PA and  the late Earl Simmons.

For many years, she owned and operated Mobile Cab Company until her retirement.

In her free time, Aldena truly enjoyed fishing including deep sea fishing. She was active within the Kingdom Hall in Hudson, NH and loved watching cooking shows and camping trips. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Aldena’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Rosie for all of her care and comfort provided to her.

She is survived by her four children, Kenneth Ferry Jr. and his wife Nancy of Kissimee, FL, Ace Ferry of Erie, PA, Salena Flanders of Tewksbury, MA, and Jenny Ferry and Paul Thibeault of Nashua; her eight grandchildren, Derrick and his wife Claudia, Rose, Jeff and his wife Amanda, Dan, Al, Dena and her husband Keith, Nichole, and Katie and her husband Joshua. She is also survived by her 15 great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, Ace Simmons and his wife Jean of Bradford, PA and Steve Simmons and his wife Betty of PA, Sharon Simmons, Laurie Kremer and her husband David, Kelly Knapp and her husband Tom, Cindy Skaggs and her husband Bob, and Barbie-Jo Skaggs and her husband Mike, all of Bradford, PA. She is also survived by her dog Timmy and a  lifelong friend Phyllis Pivovarnik of Maryland.

Aldena was predeceased by her son Earl Ferry, her daughter Judy Robinson, and her grandson Stephen Ferry.

Her last words of advice, “Never leave home without clean underwear. You never know who you are going to run into.”

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Talk on August 5th at 2 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 128 Greely Street, Hudson, NH 03051-3422. Arrangements under the care of ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME.
