Claire (Theriault) Bertrand

NASHUA- Claire (Theriault) Bertrand, 81, a lifelong resident of Nashua, died peacefully Monday morning, June 5, 2017 at Greenbriar Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Ron Bertrand.

Claire was born in Nashua on January 15, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Maria (Paradis) Theriault.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a nurse’s aid in various local nursing homes and also worked in the cafeteria for the Nashua School Department.

In her free time, Claire enjoyed flower gardening, word puzzles, and in her younger years loved social parties and dancing. She traveled many places with her husband, Ron, including Greece, the Virgin Islands, and many states across the United States. Claire and her husband were members of a camping club and traveled to many different camp grounds together as well. She was a member of the Emblem Club, #170. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family, whom she loved deeply.

In addition to her husband, Ron, Claire is survived by her daughters, Donna Bugeau and her husband John of Nashua, Diane Chase and her husband William of Arvada, Colorado, Pamela Cummings and her husband Frank of Worcester, MA, and Sandra Gaudette and her husband Paul of Hudson. Her siblings, Robert Theriault and his wife Rita of Florida and Madeleine White and her husband David of South Carolina. She is also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandson and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Claire was predeceased by her brother Richard Theriault and his wife Jeannette Theriault.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on SUNDAY, June 11th from 2 until 5 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on MONDAY, June 12th, at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W. Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment to follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
