Welcome to the memorial page for

Jacqueline E. Dion

April 1, 1935 ~ April 15, 2017 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Jackie Dion was something else. She loved fiercely. She loved John Wayne, Seabrook Beach, Liverpool Rummy, Christmas, chocolate covered cherries, Victoria Thompson mystery novels, shrimp wiggle, long conversations, and most of all, the people in her life.

Jackie was a devoted daughter, amazing grandmother and mother. The love of her husband's life, she joins him almost exactly 6 months to the day after he passed away.

A lifelong resident of Nashua, NH, she was born in 1935 to the late Sylvio David Dion and Rose Yvonne Morency Dion. She graduated from both Nashua High School and Nashua Business College and spent free time working as a soda jerk at her father's drugstore. She met Robert J. Dion through her younger brother and the two were married on July 6, 1956.

Jackie lived for her family. She loved each of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews in her own special way. Grandma Jackie was in the front row for every game, musical, concert, and school event. She was always at her happiest around her little ones.

Whether you needed a cup of tea, a warm hug, or someone to talk to for hours on end, her door was always open. With the help of her husband, Jackie built a home that was inviting to all of her family, friends, and neighbors.

After a long period of declining health, Jackie passed away peacefully and with her lifelong, unfailing faith.

Besides her husband, Jackie was predeceased by her sister-in-law Lucie Perrault Dion and her grandson, Matthew Dion.

Jackie is survived by her son David Dion and fiancé Adriana Scott, daughter Karen Sennott and her husband John, youngest son Joseph Dion and his wife Christine, her two brothers, Sylvio Dion Jr. and his wife Dorothy, and Robert A. Dion and his wife Diane. She will be missed by her many grandchildren, Aaron Irlbacher and his wife Jayme, Seana Signor and her husband Jordan, Cassidy Basile and her husband Ryan, Quinn Dion, Zachary Dion and his wife Joey, Luke Dion, Michael Sennott and his wife Samantha, Cara Sennott, Wyeth Dion, and Evy Dion, along with all of her great-grandchildren.

The past few years were challenging for Jackie both physically and emotionally. The family would like to thank the staff at Langdon Place of Nashua for their care, compassion, and willingness to always lend an ear to her imaginative stories. They would also like to thank Compassus Care Hospice for their kindness and expertise the last few days of her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, in support of Jackie's great-grandson, Jake Irlbacher.

In the last few days of her life, Jackie expressed sadness that she never learned how to whistle. If this is her biggest regret, she lived a truly great life

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on THURSDAY, April 20th from 5 until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsely Street, Nashua. Her Funeral will be held on FRIDAY, April 21st at 10 AM in St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
