Jeannette G. Smith

NASHUA- Jeannette G. Smith, 86, died peacefully, Thursday evening, January 19, 2017 at The Inn at Fairview in Hudson. She was the beloved wife of Maurice H. Smith with whom she shared 68 beautiful years of marriage.

Jeannette was born in Nashua on July 15, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Antoine and Eva (Henry) Vaillancourt.

She enjoyed reading her bible, sewing, knitting, playing Chinese checkers and making her famous chicken soup for those she loved.  She was devoted to her bible study group, her church outreach ministry and sharing the word of God.  Her most cherished time was spent with her loving family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters Donna LaFleur and her husband of Nashua, Dolores Pacheco and her husband John of Merrimack; her sons, David Smith and his wife Catherine of Nashua, Daniel Smith and his wife JoAnn of Pelham, and Duane Smith and his wife Angela of Nashua; her 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Dolores Roy and her husband Armand of Orlando, FL. and their children.

Jeannette was predeceased by her sister Bernadette Vaillancourt.

Calling hours will be held on FRIDAY, January 27th from 6 until 8 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral will be held on SATURDAY, January 28th at 10:00 AM at Christian Bible Church, 205 Manchester Street, Nashua, NH. Interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeannette's name to Gideons International, 6 Mt. Vernon Street, Nashua, NH 03064.
