I was shocked to just learn of Neal's passing.
We have been friends for many years, and he has taught my licensing re-certification classes for many cycles of renewal. We always had chances during the classes for him to tell the others that he didn't want anything to do with the Business Brokerage business that I have made my career. I have also been on the receiving end of several referrals from him.
My condolences to his family and many close friends. He will be sorely missed.

My condolences to the Barrett family on this sad day. Neal was a valued friend, co-worker and teacher. So many of us in the small commercial realtor community would go out of our way to gain our continuing education credits through the Barrett school. And if you worked with him or knew him well, you could expect to being put on the spot or joked on during class.
I will miss him, his advice and his humor. -AW

Very sad news to hear of Neal's passing as he injected energy and fun in the many classes I attended of his. Truly knew his profession from every angle, and I learned something new every time. A very kind and sincere man, with a great sense of humor.

I'm very glad to have met him within the business of real estate and he will be sorely missed.

I knew Neal as a real estate broker. Every two years I attended all of Neal's classes to get my 15 credits to maintain my broker's license. He was the best instructor. He was so very knowledgeable in the real estate field. He had a knack for teaching, keeping everyone engaged and being witty. We would converse about Nashua as that is my home city and the area Neal worked his real estate magic. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Neal. I am so sorry and sad about his passing and was totally shocked when I read it in The Telegraph. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. God bless. Peter Chaloner

My heartfelt condolences go out to Neal's family and friends. His untimely passing was shocking to me. Neal was my instructor 16 years ago when I took my NH Real Estate training/course with him at the Masiello Office Bldg in Nashua. I can still hear his voice and his 'moving along' demeanor as he spoke to us, with his real estate wisdom. He will be greatly missed and was such a presence in the community and real estate world here. Carol Anne Bennett, BHHS Verani/Amherst

Neal, You were always my "go to" guy when it came to Real Estate policy's, agency and procedures. That void will be hard to replace. I still remember your exuberance in applying to be the Greater Nashua Board of Realtors Government Affairs Director. I was amazed in how you related your time spent abroad in Russia to how it could be apply to the position. We spend many hours debating over the years and you always came away the winner..... I have many found memories of your wit and humor and especially the way you paused before you answered a question was unmistakably YOU...... We were cut short of you my friend.......

Shocked as many of my colleagues are, as I had spoken to him the previous afternoon.
Neal was an example of professionalism in real estate brokerage. He was informative, easy to work with, and always knew the answers. I took many of his classes in Commercial Realty over the years - he had fun picking on me!- and our exchanges would entertain the rest of the classmates. I never could stump him. He volunteered regularly for NHCIBOR on various committees, and we all will miss his contributions.
Rest in peace, my friend; we shall miss you.
