Patricia D. Allan

Patricia Allan, 76, died Saturday, July 30th at her home. She was born in Caribou, Maine on November 18, 1939, daughter of the late Jack and Alda (Bourgoine) Doak.

Patricia was a teacher in upstate New York and at Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson, NH. Pat gave generously of her time to various organizations, including a Girl Scout troop in New York, preparing taxes at Nashua Public Library and working the election polls for the City of Nashua. She also served as President of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary organization, and stood alongside her husband as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. She loved animals and always had at least one pet around her whole life.

Patricia is survived by her beloved husband, Dr. Nelson S. Allan III, her children John and Eve Allan of Binghamton, NY, Joseph and Denise Allan of Wilbraham, MA, Jacqueline and Michael Valentino of Endicott, NY, Jennifer Ferrante of Manchester, NH and Jessica and Christopher Schmidt of Cambridge, MA. She was most proud of her eight grandchildren, Kirstie Abbott, Cameron Allan, Anne Ferrante, Kyle Abbott, Connor Allan, Alicia Lavarnway, Julianne Lavarnway and Nelson S. Allan IV. She is also survived by two precious grandchildren, Levi Abbott and Emma Hedge.

Arrangements: Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, August 4th beginning at 12:30 p.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by a burial at St. Louis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to St. Joseph the Worker Building Fund.
