I’m so sorry to hear that Pat passed away. She had been away from the sacraments for a number of years but started attending church again when we first moved to NH. I met her in the church office. My baby had gotten away from me and ran across a table in the office at church. That started the conversation. Pat and I worked the rummage sales at our church and had a lot of fun with that. The church was historic. They didn’t ring the bells because they were afraid the tower would crack. Pat pressed the wrong button one time when she went to adoration and was looking for the light switch. FA SO LA is what she heard. I remember her expression when she told me, “They sounded nice.” Then we sat there in the chapel laughing. We fought the closing of the church but lost. We went to different parishes after that, but I still met her sometimes for coffee. She loved her granddaughter and I loved seeing pictures of her great-grandchildren. Jacob was a little boy after my own heart. What a sweet and brave little guy! Madison and Olivia, and Jacob….BEAUTIFUL children. I didn’t know abou the twins. Pat seemed to know where my life was headed before I did. When she first heard that they were closing our church she said, “Wait’ll Jeanine finds out. They’ll be something in the papah.” I’ve been so busy with politics during the last several years, I haven’t seen Pat, but I still cherished knowing her. My heart goes out to her family and to Frenchie. Rest in peace my friend. Thank you for sponsoring Josef when he made his Confirmation. I hope to see you again someday. Maybe you can put in a good word for me. I’ll never forget you, Pat. Thank you for your friendship. Loved you!
