Dr. Paul A. Chevrette, 94, of Nashua passed away peacefully on Thursday November 27, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Paul was born in Nashua on October 17, 1920, a son of the late Joseph and Amanda (Desmarais) Chevrette. He was the beloved husband of Josephine Anne (Ratoff) Chevrette of Nashua.
He was a resident of many locations including Nashua NH, Amesbury MA, Dania Beach FL, and most recently Port Richey FL and Seabrook NH. Dr. Chevrette was educated in local schools and was a 1938 Nashua High School graduate. He obtained a BA in Philosophy from Assumption College in Worcester MA and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Montreal University. He served as a Corpsman in the US Navy for 3 years during World War II on the hospital ship USS Tranquility in the Pacific. Prior to retirement, Dr. Chevrette had his own private dental practice at 192 Main Street in Amesbury MA for over 42 years. He served a term on the Amesbury Board of Health and was also a life member of the American dental Association. Paul was a life member of the Amesbury Lions Club having been a member for over 50 years. He enjoyed golf and shuffleboard. Dr. Chevrette was an active communicant of local Catholic churches when in Seabrook and Port Richey. Paul was predeceased by one daughter; Candi Ann (Chevrette) Soucey, two sisters; Gertrude Tanguay, Evelyn J. Paul, one brother; Louis Chevrette, and former spouse; Geneviene M. Chevrette.
Besides his wife of over 52 years, Paul is survived by:
One son; Paul Neil of Mill valley CA
Two grandchildren; Jack Duggan Neil, Jorma Soucey
One sister; Pauline Kotopoulis of Nashua
Also several nieces, nephews and cousins
SERVICES: There are no visiting hours. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday December 4, 2014 in St. Louis de Gonzague Parish, 48 West Hollis Street Nashua NH 03060, at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
