Message from The Reczko's

I did not hear of Steve's passing until the other day by my father Jesse Reczko (POPS) as Steve and many other youngsters who looked up to Jesse for outdoor guidance and to tell their tales too was known as.
I remember Steve through other close outdoor friends as a teenager. I thought I loved the outdoors but Steve had me beat by miles in the wilderness living. I remember he did not shy away from telling stories and you could always count of him to bring life to the party. He always had a way to make you feel respected no matter who you were. I think now he is in a wilderness that spans for eternity and he will never get bored exploring. Til then outdoor buddy, good luck.

Stevie, you will always be my favorite! I will continue to cherish all our memories, especially blue fishing with my dad in Phippsburg, Maine. You made me laugh like no other. I'm so glad to have had lunch with you at Martha's; you were hilarious and I have laughed a million times since thinking of your stories and adventures. I sure hope to see you again my friend! Love always...

Thank you for always being warm and welcoming, treating me like family and for making me feel like a someone. I am especially grateful for the way you took the time to really get to know Kyle on a personal level, even though he was just a child at the time, you were quick to become his favorite uncle. From fishing to special gift packages from Alaska filled with great unknowns and surprises that enjoyed by all, to a wonderful Alaska adventure all it's own. I will always remember your patience, your smile, the way your eyes lit up when you laughed, for your generous heart, but mostly because of the person you were in the eyes of a child. You will be greatly missed, but we are so very grateful for all the memories we hold dear, until we meet again. -Shaundi

To the Larson Family,
I am sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I have fond memories of growing up on Thoreau Drive. Steve was a funny and warm soul. He is forever associated with snakes in my memory. When I was a kid, maybe 12 or so, he brought a boa constructor over to the house one day, and I held it. It was pretty awesome.

I am so sorry for your loss.

With much love,
Caitlin Kelly and Chris Meazell

Your last word to me were "can I get u anything" because I had a cold. That day the cops came to tell me the news. Your last text to me was "I dig that dude". Here I am feeling more connected to that dude... lol.
My last burned memory of u was u telling me how u are gonna get back out there but you wanted to wait till your teeth are fixed because u had pride of the beautiful smile I had... I told u that I never notice and to do it now while u are still living.... fuck that memory alone kills me. I got to have faith that there was a reason god took u now. Rip As always Aja
