OBITUARY: YOLANDA (DENAULT) GUTHERZ
Yolanda (Denault) Gutherz, 87, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack.
Yolanda was born in Nashua on May 21, 1928, a daughter of the late Albert and Eva (Ferryall) Denault. A resident of Nashua, she made her home at 5 Bell Street with her husband, Retired Police Captain Frederick Gutherz.
Yolanda graduated from local schools and until her medical retirement, Mrs. Gutherz had been employed by the former 1590 Broadcasting Corporation (WSMN) as Office Manager and Executive Secretary to the late State Senator D. Alan Rock. Mrs. Gutherz was one of the founders of the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters and served as its secretary until her retirement.
She held membership in the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Matthew Thronton Chapter; she was one of the first members of the New Hampshire Lupus Foundation; was an active member of the former St. Francis Xavier Church and was an active member of St. Louis de Gonzague Parish.
Besides her husband of 66 years, Yolanda is survived by;
One sister; Lucille Laroche of Nashua
Two nieces; Sheila Savard of Nashua, Judith Jones and her husband John of Millstadt IL
Four grandnephews; David Savard Jr., Brett Savard, Dana Savard, Travis Jones
Two grandnieces; Tracy Holmes, Jamie Wratchford
Also several great-grandnieces and nephews
SERVICES: There are no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday August 5, 2015 in the St. Louis de Gonzague Parish, 48 West Hollis Street Nashua, at 10 AM. Burial will follow at the family plot in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation Of New Hampshire Inc., Chapter Of The Lupus Foundation Of America Inc., PO Box 5500 Nashua NH 03108-5500.
