OBITUARY — ALBERT “AL” CARACCIO

AMHERST- Albert Jon “Al” Caraccio, 58, of Amherst, NH died peacefully Friday evening, October 27, 2017, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, Massachusetts. He was surrounded by his loving family. Albert was the beloved husband of Michelle Denise (Spaulding) Caraccio.

Al was born in Nashua on December 15, 1958 and was the son of the late Albert John and Doris (Fagnet) Caraccio. He attended schools in the Nashua School System and he continued his education, attending the University of New Hampshire and graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

Al was in sales his entire professional life, and was the proud owner and operator of Spas Etc./Pellet King of Merrimack, NH for over twenty-five years, traveling throughout New England for sales/service and developing an internet presence.

Al was a tremendous cook, having learned his skills from a very young age from his father who owned an Italian restaurant in downtown Nashua for many years after serving as a cook in World World II.  He enjoyed watching the Patriots play football, and spent many hours around his pool playing Risk and Poker with his kids, cracking jokes, and doing cannon balls in a big way from the diving board so everyone got splashed. Al was a dedicated father and incredibly hard worker, never shying away from a long day and instilling a strong work ethic in his kids.

In addition to his wife, Michelle, he is survived by his three children, Joseph Anthony, Natalie Marie, and John “Jack” Albert Caraccio, all of Amherst; his sister, Antoinette “Toni” Greene and her husband Stanley of Lyndeborough, NH; his sister-in-law, Deborah (Spaulding) Rainey and her husband John S. Rainey, Jr. of Concord, MA, and his brother-in-law, Christopher Edward Spaulding and his wife, Andrea, of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Kathy Nichols of Nashua; his mother-in-law, Concepcion M. Spaulding of Manchester; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Al was predeceased by his father-in-law, Dayton M. Spaulding, and his brother, Ron Nichols.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on THURSDAY, November 2nd from 4:30 until 7:30 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will held on FRIDAY, November 3rd at 11 AM in St. Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al’s name to a charity of your choice.
