OBITUARY: JEANNINE (ROUSSEL) BOUCHER
Jeannine (Roussel) Boucher, 92, of Nashua, passed away on Tuesday February 10, 2015 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.
Jeannine was born in Notre-Dame-du-Mont Carmel, Canada on September 12, 1922, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Anna (Plourde) Roussel. She was the widow of Gerard A. Boucher who passed away on May 7, 2001.
Jeannine had been the oldest of four. At the age of ten, her mother died and the family was split up. She returned to Canada to live with her grandmother. Jeannine met her husband at the age of eighteen and a year later they were married. Like many other women at that time, she became a war bride. Three weeks later she returned home and waited for his safe return. They lived a full life together building a house in Nashua where they raised three girls. She loved to sew and had been a seamstress for many people. Jeannine was a member of the Nashua Senior Center. She was predeceased by one daughter; Lorraine Hauntsman.
Jeannine is survived by:
Two daughters; Cecile Paquette of Nashua and Louise Owen of Derry
Seven grandchildren; Mark Hauntsman, Jason Hauntsman, Alyssa Hauntsman, Erica Paquette, John J. Paquette, Kristen Galpin, Sean Owen
11 great-grandchildren
As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins
SERVICES: There are no visiting hours. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday February 20, 2015 in the Resurrection Parish, 449 Broad Street Nashua NH 03064, at 11 AM. Everyone is invited to meet at the church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
