Joan M (Anton) Craffey

NASHUA- Joan M. (Anton) Craffey, 64, died peacefully on Sunday morning, November 13, 2016 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Arthur Craffey with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.

Joan was born on April 15, 1952 in Milton, MA. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Renski) Anton.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the City of Nashua as a School Monitor for many years and prior to that, was employed by New England Merchants Banks in the security department.

In her free time, Joan enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling, and playing cards. She loved to be active, taking frequent walks. Joan was extremely proud to be a Blue Star Mother for three of her children and adored animals, especially her service dog, Hercules. She was lovingly known as Mrs. Coach and will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by her four sons, Thomas Craffey, Jonathan Craffey, William Craffey, and Christopher Craffey all of Nashua; her daughter Jennifer Craffey of Hudson;  her brother Edward Anton and his wife Margie and her sister Patricia Elliot and her husband David; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Anton.

Relatives and friends are invited to her calling hours on SUNDAY, November 20th from 1 until 5 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, November 21st at 10 AM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
